Lead engineer in 200+ user network migration from Novell backbone to Microsoft NT. Responsible for management of server upgrades and all aspects of network rollout. Management duties included budgeting of materials and funds, quarterly department audits, equipment leasing, coordination of upgrades and training of end users.

 

Hunterdon Middle High School, Wakefield, DE          May 1998 to January 2000

Network Administrator / IT Department Manager – Chief network administrator for high school Novell network. Managed staff of two technicians. Responsible for all server maintenance and administration, trouble shooting ticket assignments and end user training. Implemented disaster recovery plans and procedures. Coordinated implementation of disaster recovery equipment with various contract consultants. Received employee of year award from Hunterdon School District.

 

Livingston Industries, Piscataway, NJ                         April 1998 to May 2000

Network Engineer – Part of team which planned and built 50 user network for new headquarters of regional chemical wholesale company. Helped plan network topology, make purchase decisions, build servers, install software packages and rollout nodes. Remained after network implementation as part of administration team. Responsibilities included server maintenance and upgrades and help desk duties.
