related field offices. All testing procedures were systematically documented
with findings reported in concise formats to state auditing agencies with
recommendations for upgrade and repair procedures. Reports included estimates
of cost and manpower to make systems Y2K compliant.
Project Manager – Project
manager responsible for technical staff of 10 individuals. Project scope
includes combination of two mainframe systems onto a single platform. System
upgrades included Y2K compliance standards.
Computer Engineer – Duties
included installing, de-installing, servicing and upgrading computers in
LAN/WAN environment. Administered Microsoft NT server with 200 client users.
Provided support for AS/400 mainframe. Help desk management duties.
LAN Manager / Administrator
– Supported 50 users on Novell Network. Responsible for network maintenance,
upgrades, all new equipment testing and purchases. Filed quarterly maintenance
and budgeting reports with semi annual oral presentations required at staff
budget meetings. Position required ability to interact on both a technical
level with IT staff and on a more personal level using layman terms for staff
sales meetings. Started as computer technician and help desk assistant.
Promoted five times within two years to IT department manager and chief network
administrator.
